As the storm season continues to heat up in Florida--

This is just a reminder that when a tropical storm or hurricane watch/warning is issued by the National Weather Service for any location within Florida that most Insurance Companies put in restrictions not allowing any coverage to be bound for property coverage and this includes but not limited to Home insurance, adding physical damage coverage to autos, boats, recereational vehicles etc.

This is especially important if you are in the process of purchasing a new home-- to help avoid any issues once you have a confirmed closing  date we recommend you contact your insurance agent to secure the insurance as soon as you can instead of waiting until the last few days. This will help avoid any last minute restrictions that could prevent you from closing on time which in some cases can affect the loan/rate locks etc.

In addition, it is also a good time to review your coverage's/limitations and restrictions you have and if you have any questions or concerns discuss with your agent before any incident should occur.

We would recommend locating your policy documents now which will have the toll free # to your Insurance Company to report any claims should you suffer damage and keep this in a convenient location in case you do need it.
